My live oaks are shredded. Looks like a hurricane came through.

I forgot Texas has those weak little beta live oaks.

Louisiana live oaks don't bend over and break so easily

According the neighbors who have been here since 2000, this is the worst...by far.

We're at 1,600 ft elevation and it's crazy what a difference it made. Drive out of the hills a few miles and it looks fine

Looks like you had a nice setup. Hate to see those beautiful trees like that.

I always say, when life gives you lemons, boil crawfish. Or something like that... Anyway.

Go buy yourself a chain saw if you don't have one already. Start cutting it yourself and stacking it for firewood next year.

We're in central Austin and the oaks and sycamores were hit hardest in our neighborhood. Unbelievable how many trees are down. We've been without power since 4 a.m. yesterday. At least we have a small generator to run some lights, heaters, and internet router.

Damn. I’m trapped at DFW day 2. It’s cold AF and nasty.

That ice fricked those trees up.

That's not true. I lost a big arse limb out of mine during the big snow event a few years ago and I saw two other big arse live oaks that split completely in half down the road. The weight of ice is tremendous on a tree, even a live oak.

Where are you located? My grandmother in Bandera had extensive damage with trees and my uncle in Austin had extensive damage with trees. That looks bad.

I had half of one break and fall on my house in 15 mph winds.
