160 knots at flight level - WOW
SFMR says ~135 knots (~ 155 mph at surface).

Let's see if NHC verifies those readings as official.

Unreal

Checking in from Bonita Springs, in between Naples and Fort Myers. Looks like a fun day ahead

I remember when you went thru the last one, although the exact year it occurred is fuzzy in my old brain cells. I need more coffee this morning to look it up.

Good Luck today, prayers for the best outcome.

I’m not sure it could look any worse right now.

I am on a picnic up here compared to what y'all are finna look at. I am aboot 100 miles from ground zero, and will be 20 miles from the projected eye path. My big thing is rain, but think it will just roll on off through The Green Swamp.

It is going to get rough. But we chose to stay so it is on us. No matter what it is going to suck for a few days (or so). Love the way that Florida responds though. They do as well as can be done.

Irma was 9/10/17

The house is a fortress, thankfully. I appreciate the well wishes. I-75 is across the pond, and there are still people out driving, heading south to Miami. We are technically under a mandatory evacuation, but I think the officials do that to cover their asses.

Hey, small person. Last time, for Irma, you bailed for a month because you had a giant moat around your house. Post a little, and let a brother know how it's rolling down there.

Everyone stay safe and keep us posted on how you’re doing.

Was a cat 3 with 120 winds when I went to bed around 11:30 last night.

Now cat 4 with 140…possibly higher.
