Those idiots don't realize that if you get swept out, you're pretty much dead. Wave surge like that will suck you under and pop you up miles away, drowned. Idiots.

True. One guy kept going back to the edge and nearly falling over. I suspect he was under the influence.

Shitty though, because it could have the chance to get his shite back together before landfall, no?

This would've been much better right before landfall, correct?

Let the sea take them. For every dumbass who plays in hurricanes on the coast and get sucked out to drown, another pair of dumbasses are getting drunk at a hurricane party conceiving that persons replacement.

My dad will be 87 in two weeks. He doesn't post but he's an avid reader. A WWII veteran was a regular poster a couple of years ago. Sadly, he may no longer be with us.

Hell, it hasn't slowed Ian down in the short term to this point. Pressure is still falling despite the EWRC.

And people want to try to artificially inhibit the storms then in the next breath complain about climate change.

As bad as #Ian will be for southwestern #Florida, an important trend today is an increasing threat to northeastern Florida.

Ian may now emerge over water east of Florida. Its interaction with a northeasterly belt of cool air could cause high winds and coastal flooding Wed-Thurs:

This threat for storm surge and high winds will extend up the #Georgia and #SouthCarolina coastlines as well.

Helluva a set up when it slams the Atlantic Coast side of Florida, then goes up to the Carolinas for a landfall there
