I used to think the movie Olympus Has Fallen was insanely far fetched and unrealistic

Now, that movie was a wild one. Talk about getting the heart rate up. However, none of the people in that movie were wearing a Viking costume.

Hell No.. The contingent protecting the White House could easily be overrun with enough people..
Problem is you'd need to get to Potus before he's in the bunker or its lights out once the rest of the military rills up..

1. Well, the big question in defending the Capitol, White House, or Area 51 is, how aggressively are they going to defend it? Is the defense force (the Capitol Police, Secret Service, military) willing to mow down a few hundred misguided but unarmed Americans? If so, that makes the job easier. But is keeping Buffalo Bill and some rednecks from hanging out in the senate chamber and Pelosi's office for a few minutes worth dozens of dead bodies on the floor? No.
2. I have been one of the gates of Area 51. There are about a dozen signs each telling you a slightly different variation of "Get the frick out of here." The actual base is miles away from any of the gates and that area of Nevada is barren. They would see a large group of people coming with plenty of time to stop it.

I don't think there's any chance the number of people who breached the Capitol today would ever make it into the White House. They would lock it down. Slim chance of one or a few getting in and no chance of anyone reaching the president.

I would have to imagine they would be a lot quicker in lighting people up, if that happened and that would probably break up any ideas of rushing the White House quickly.
It's all fun and games until some frustrated middle aged accountant sees his insurance broker buddy get his grape spilt wide open by some rooftop sniper.
