I know of a few people that have had it, one died. A nurse I know in her 20's is on her second time having it. She's obviously exposed a lot, and she is overweight so that might have something to do with it. A pregnant lady from my church got it but never really had any bad symptoms. The one who died was a diabetic guy in his early 50's.

Do you only know like ten people? I’ve had two family members, six or so friends, and about a dozen casual acquaintances catch it. 2 deaths. How people can deny this shite is just completely bonkers.
Why are you always lying

Thats because only .008% of the Louisiana population tested positive.
But masks and stay home.
I agree with your sentiment, but you should learn how percentages work

Same.
ETA: I spend the vast majority of my time in Lafayette and Vermilion parishes, which have a combined total cases of ~1k, and a combined total population of >300k.
I’m also not denying that it’s a thing, but just stating that I don’t know anyone who has been diagnosed with it.

I don't know of anyone either, not even secondhand. Amazing how many reports you'll get on an anonymous, high-traffic message board. Nothing suspicious about that...
So because you don’t know anyone then you don’t believe others?
My cousin is a doctor in Lafayette with it. She had fever for three weeks with it and her fever finally went away, but it has returned.
I don’t know if anyone else personally with it, but my family definitely knows people in New Orleans who had it.

Know 2 mid- fifties who got it and recovered. Both reported it as being like a really bad cold. Neither had to go to the hospital.
Find it interesting that posters who originally expressed skepticism about the wisdom of shutting down the country were told, "You don't understand the exponential increase in infection rates that is coming."
Now that posters report experience with solid numbers that don't bear out dire death predictions, the line becomes "You don't have any friends."

this. I know OF people and know people that know people, but noone I personally know has contracted it. And a lot of those people never checked up with their lives.

A guy my brother worked closely with and played cards with every day at lunch also - he was 46 with 5 kids.
My SIL's aunt - died in a nursing home in New Jersey - 78.
A co-worker of mine (46 employee company) - around age 60 - got it while working remotely - recovered after 2 weeks.

I've known four people who have had it. My good friend from college and his grandma. Plus two people from my church.

The cafeteria manager at the kids school died of it. Mid 60’s, black, overweight, probably some other underlying conditions like high blood pressure.

Both my parents had it. My father spent a week in the hospital back in April. Mother didn't need the hospital. One of her friends had it and one cousin, so 4 people I know and they all recovered.

Two of my employees had a parent die of Covid. Only ones I personally know of that are directly contributed. Not aware of anyone else.
Did they have other health issues? No idea.

Well that settles it then. LoneStar23 on the Tigerdroppings OT board doesn't know a single person that has had Covid19, so that must surely mean 2 million people are faking it, and close to 120,000 people haven't died from it.

This guy worked for a multinational investment Bank
Not sure about his health issues before but he told me the guy was traveling around for work and whatnot
Must have picked it up in an airport or something

My best friend's brother is a nurse. Late 30s. Had it. Almost died.
My gfs coworker had it. Shes bigger and a smoker. Was basically fine. Her husband got it from her. He died. Skinny early 40s guy. No issues.
My antibody test came back positive last week. Had it. Didn't really know it. Had a different coronavirus in november that nearly killed me
I'm a fat, heavy drinking, cigar smoking, gorilla. But I do work out a fair amount.
