As I talked about in the other thread, back in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, even early 2000s, if you were a guy who mildly had your shite together, you could get a woman. Nowadays, you'll just get laughed at and possibly on a viral TikTok or YouTube video calling you a creep just for asking a woman out in person. I still don't think many men (or women) who are 50 and over genuinely understand how much online dating and #MeToo changed that.
#MeToo made online dating the default. If you try to ask a woman out in person, you are flat out risking a harassment charge or to be a part of the next viral TikTok or YouTube video. Sure a woman could say yes, if you're in the upper 20%, but it's a much bigger risk than it was even 15 years ago.
Online dating has made it where 3, 4, 5 women absolutely expect to land an 8, 9 or 10 guy (preferably 9 or 10). Before online dating, people genuinely dated in their range attractiveness wise, online dating completely screwed that up.
Take me for example. Yes it's a hard topic for me. I'm 42, 5'7", in relatively good shape but only make around $75,000/year (I've started doing some door dash a few hours a week, nothing major, planning to get that up to $80,000/year). I own a 14 year old car that is fully paid off, I have no credit card debt, I have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom townhome worth around $400,000 and besides that have around $150,000 in wealth between my checking account, CD accounts, investment account, Roth 401(k) and Roth IRA. I'm lower middle class but I live a decently good life and I feel I have a good personality.
Dude, you're hunting at the wrong food plot. Look for Asian or Hispanic women in your local area, Mexican/Asian restaurants, etc. If no luck take a trip overseas.

OP has a serious problem which needs therapy. He's spent too much time on YouTube and TikTok, and too little time on not acting like an incel creep.

I'm not the OP, but assuming this is directed at me. Ironically I've actually seen two therapist about various topics, including this. Typically it's always the same guidance. Get offline, don't visit anti-women groups or pages, remember that women are individuals, talk to women in person.
And I get it, online is not the real world. And I agree places like YouTube, TikTok and Reddit really can make you negative about a lot of things, including women.
It's all good advice, if not very generalized. I never said I wasn't trying to improve, I am. I just wish I had truly had a wingman or some sort of male figure early in my life that could've given me a lot better advice about women.

You need to go out and meet people in real life. I’m a little older than you but have plenty of single girl friends who are about your age or a little younger who aren’t caught up in that social media shite of unrealistic expectations.
Go to church, join a young adult/singles group. Take the advice of the other poster that said to join a running club or something.
Being 42 and single (especially if you’ve never been married) is a red flag for a lot of women, too.

I feel for you man. One of the best parts of being married with children in your 40's is that you don't have to suffer through a bunch of random female's bullshite just to get laid. We all did it in our teens & 20's, but I couldn't imagine doing it now. Outside of my wife, my sister, & my mom(no pics), I could care less about having any interaction with women at all. They're all crazy as hell & most of them are very dumb.
