I refuse to call anyone doctor outside of STEM/Medical fields

Most of these other "Dr." individuals seem to be on a lot of corrupt failing school boards in inner cities.

i dont even call medical professionals doctors because of the respect i have for nurse practitioners

In France, a Docteur is one who has a Doctorate. A medical doctor is called a Medcin. In Germany, Doktor also means one who has a Doctorate, with context indicating the type, e.g., "you should see a doktor for that cold." A common word specifying medical doctor is arzt.
