The good news is that they are subject to run out of gas which curtails their driving time.

I say they are good drivers...let's see you put on makeup while checking your SnapChat, eating your drive thru McDonalds while correcting the children...in the left hand lane and see how well you drive.

Most stereotypes exist for a reason. It's weird that people won't or can't admit it any more.

Men and women are different. It’s why we have different roles in life to play, both of which make life work efficiently when we are both operating within those roles.

My wife grew up on the farm. Her mom had her driving to town for groceries starting when she was 11.

Girl can drive!

And yet did zero research that proves the opposite of your hypothesis.

I remember being a kid and any time there was a bad driver my dad would say “stupid lady” or something similar. Being a kid I thought he was just being dumb and a little sexist.

He was right.

2. Women do not have great understanding or appreciation for big heavy machines. They are a mystery to them, and also scary (see #1).

WTF? Do you think this is something all men just know about?

I have never been in a situation where I thought "this fricking women! they don't know shite or appreciate heavy equipment!"

They pull up to a 4 way stop and immediately get amnesia…no idea of the order people approached the intersection.

3. Women are poor navigators. Have you ever asked a woman for directions? It's hard to focus on driving the car when you're worried about where you are going, or about failing to see the oak tree near the nail salon just after the elementary school (which is how most women navigate).

I don’t get how people are like this. If I go somewhere once I never need directions again. If I need directions in the first place. Which I don’t. Just tell me where it is.

It is decently documented through the ASVAB, and other tests, that men have a better visual sense of space than women. Women have a better attention to detail, which is why Michelin used them to do tire inspections prior to shipping (it was a French company, so nobody thought they would get canceled for admitting that).

Women are afraid of a lot of shite, for #1,and #2.

What truly confuses me is Asians in traffic circles in the US. You had traffic circles where you came from. However, you hit the US, we install a couple of them, and you freaking panic. If I could get a grenade into your car, I would.

One of my peculiarities if I haven't been somewhere is to tell me the color of the sign. Turn at the Pappas sign means close to nothing to me, but if you tell me to get off at exit XY and turn at the dark blue Pappas sign, I can process that while among the 12 lanes of bullshite on I-45.

Instead of speculating you could have just looked up easily obtainable statistics. They support your hypothesis btw. But it's not a huge difference. Men account for 64% of all miles driven, but cause only 58% of the accidents.

my drive to work puts me on the interstate for about 17 miles. fairly rural but can get crowded at times. Never fails that if try to pass a car slowly and that car immediately speeds up, yep. a woman. every. single. time.

and then said car will revert back to the slower speed.

rule. But women do not drive as well as men on average

That must be why it is more expensive to insure a woman driver than a man. Heyyyy… wait a minute.
