The jury on that case struck me as low functioning.
I mean.... she borrowed a shovel from the frickin’ neighbor and had never done a day’s work in her life.

The prosecution screwed up by going for first degree murder because there was reasonable doubt how the child died. Was it accidental or on purpose? If they would have charged her with manslaughter she would have been found guilty and been sentenced to 40 some years.

That shite cracked me up. The dad likely helped her hide the body and paid for her defense and they thanked him by turning on him and claiming he was an abuser. Talk about a fricking from your own kid. That shite just came out of nowhere halfway through the trial.

Seriously? You think another family member was involved? Now, her mother was in complete denial and maybe tried to hide some painful truths about her daughter, but it seemed pretty clear that Casey killed her on her own and just made up ridiculous lies.

No I think Casey killed her straight up. I think the parents tried to help protect her during the trial process.

I can't remember the details but the computer searches for chloroform was BS. The mom obviously lied to tried to help her there.
The fact that she didn't report or seek to make an effort to find the kid for a 'month' says all there needs to be said
