Seems like a safe bet since she can’t do worse than she did last time.
Actually I’m thinking from the kid’s perspective. From Casey’s perspective she can do worse if she kills again, gets caught again, but this time goes to prison.

She is trash and should be serving life in prison.
She killed a beautiful young child for no other reason for just being selfish.

I remember watching a documentary on the whole situation, but I forgot how she got off. Was there not enough evidence? If I recall, it seemed like there was enough evidence to prove no one else did it.

I honestly think that the only way she got off, was the prosecution couldn't fully show that Casey did the crime (and not her parents or perhaps it was an accident and a weird coverup).
However, the jury clearly got caught up in the notoriety of the case and failed miserably.
Just way too much evidence. Probably 10X the evidence than was on Scott Peterson. Not to the level of OJ, though.
Car was abandoned, cleaned out, lies about her whereabouts, the mother's 911 call, the fact the body was found a few blocks from her house, etc. are just some of the obvious clues she was involved.
However, the jury clearly got caught up in the notoriety of the case and failed miserably.

There was a ton of circumstantial evidence but no cause of death or anything that tied it directly to her. Also, the defense used obfuscation as a core tactic and basically just threw shite at the wall to see if anything stuck. They basically admitted that it was an accident midway through the trial, and then started a character assassination of George Anthony by claiming he was having an affair and also abused Casey.
By the end of the trial, the jury was so confused and they bought into some of Baez's bullshite and acquitted.
It was basically the 21st century version of the OJ trial.

Honestly I thought the prosecutors did a very poor job with this and how they went about attacking the defense
Defense did a good job making it all chaotic and it ended up causing some doubt among the jurors.
