Flying through shouldn't be an issue.
Flying out of will be.
Flying out of will be.

Flew through Hobby on Monday and only had 10-15 min wait for TSA. Not sure why IAH is having so much more issues.

Hell, that happened to me in July, 2024, on a flight from BHM to SeaTac and a stopover in Denver. Spent the night on the floor along with hundreds of other people at DEN. I didn’t get my checked bag until I got back home to Alabama. Had to buy clothes and underwear in Seattle. Learned a lesson about checked bags.
frick Joe Biden! Right?

Just drive to a smaller city, no tsa lines. Then connect in big city, no tsa.

I think it's gross they have such a hard on for leveraging people's pain and inconvenience
More importantly, or maddening, is leveraging people's safety. Isn't that the sole purpose of the TSA?

Less inflation, less social media, more community with your fellow humans. Pretty basic stuff.

Then they should pass what they’ve “agreed to” and force the president to veto it. Until that happens, I’m going to assume that this agreement is bullshite.
Edited: In short, I'm tired of both sides being lazy because things are hard. If you have the votes to pass, then pass something and force a veto. Then you can place the blame on the president or even possibly override the veto.
Similarly, if you as the majority have the votes to pass something but not enough to overcome the filibuster, then make the minority party actually filibuster. Make the other side do the hard work instead of just nodding and winking because you don't want to miss your weekend plans while they talk for 72 hours straight.

Imagine believing Congress is made of men with backbones.

Ya, but then they'd be on record. None of them want that.

That's why I don't blame POTUS. He can say what he wants, but he doesn't write law and he doesn't control the purse.

There’s literally a Wikipedia listing every government shutdown in the modern era, the government make up, the reason behind it, how long it lasted. You’re not looking at all, you’re just saying bullshite. Just do 5 seconds of googling and you can find anything.

I never thought or cared to google it.
Feel free to link your findings, I will read it.

Isn't a government shut down BS anyway? Don't the employees get their back pay when it starts up again? Not like it's saving money. Still cost the same at the end but with more inconvenience for the public.

Because Southwest is trashy and sucks.

Less inflation is quantifiable -
1996 - 2.95%
2006 - 3.23%
2016 - 2.1%
2026 - 2.4%
2026 is only 3 months old but to date inflation is .3% higher and almost .5 to 1% lower in 2026 than the other 2 years. Based on 2006 inflation is tame compared to 2026. 2026 is better.
Less social media is a certainty - not sure other than feelings how less social media is quantifiably better. There are some serious issues with social media but there is also a lot of good....more freedom in communication is a net good and its better in 2026 than it ever was.
Less community with other people is a personal choice and good or bad is based on feelings. For some people it is a blessing, for some a curse....if one is in the latter group it is incumbent upon the individual to right the ship and it is very easy to do in 2026 if someone wishes to do so...easier than in 16, 06 or 1996.
Mankind longs for the past while rushing headlong into the future...its an inherent adversity to change that we all have. What seems great about the past in retrospect is a function of hindsight and is often not inclusive of anything which wasn't so great. In almost any conceivable, quantifiable measure life is better in 2026 than it was in the past and will be better in the future. Its the least one can expect from a robust and mature society...things get better, not worse, over time.
