I’m in a meeting right now off campus and I need you to help me out on something very important right now. Please, I need you to help me get google play gift card from any nearby store and get it sent to someone ASAP , I will reimburse you as soon as I return to the office. It's impossible for me to leave this meeting at this time. So, help me to get it from the store and get it sent as soon as possible.

No, but people usually give it away as gift cards.
Never thought it would happen to me

If this is a joke, then it’s really funny.

If this is NOT a joke, then it’s even funnier....

What would have happened had you not done it? I mean he was under a time constraint. If your job has a "campus" for an office building I can't imagine a supervisor ever asking someone to use their personal credit card for $1700.

I know an admin this same story happened to. She actually emailed the scammer the codes to the gift cards.

the way to get ahead in corporate america is to do whatever it takes to deliver, so if my boss e-mailed me in a bind with an urgent request, I'd probably have done exactly the same thing.

I did, but that turned out to be a mistake. Credit company told me i shouldn’t have done that and kept the line of communication open to track them.
