I’m 73.5 and life/time is moving way too fast now. Can’t slow it down but can enjoy the heck out of what’s remaining.

Turned 46 last month - welcome aboard!

Death is a part of life and I look forward to the next chapter. However, I hope it doesn’t come soon.

Try getting pancreatic cancer at 60. One hundred percent do not recommend. Almost anything else is gravy. You got it good, bro.

Wow. That really makes me feel older than dirt. The Super Bowl win feels like both forever and only a week ago. I’ll never forget that walk down Canal and eventually Bourbon after the game. Pure euphoria!

You either get old or you die.

Those are your options.

Turned 70 this year. At this age you know your time is limited. Many don't make it out of their 70s. But as the insurance guy on the radio says, We're all going to die. And I've had seven decades on this planet.

Here’s one that got me yesterday. No idea why this idea popped into my head. I have been alive more than 20% of the lifetime of the United States.

Also read the other day where LSU has only won one SEC championship since 2011, even though it seems like the Honey Badger teams were just a few years ago. Made me realize that in 15 more years I'll be in my 60s, and that was a little frightening.

How do some of you rapidly aging O-Ters keep yourself from dwelling on getting old and not letting it bother you, because I need to learn.

You can dwell on getting old or you can dwell on getting better.

Your choice.

I will admit, I have become fixated on the fact that the heart of my youth is behind me. I cannot help but conclude that the overwhelming majority of the best moments in my life (falling in love, wild adventures with friends, getting married, the birth of my children, the light openness of being alive) are irretrievably behind me now. It casts a black shadow over my mood and drives me into depression. I have trouble finding hope or things to truly look forward to. The future seems to be hard work, obligation, pressure, decline, loss, death. I will never give up, because I have a family to support and children to rear. But life feels shabby and predictable and gloomy. Something vital has been lost. Really struggling with it. I hope it passes. Probably too candid a post for this forum.

We all age one day at a time. I just choose to ignore it.

There are 70 year olds competing at powerlifting and oly comps. There are 37 year olds that act like they can't walk up a flight of stairs.

Plan shite to do. Pyramids, get your wife to tell the kids "no" for once, delight in the small things. Viking cruise to confirm you're retired and about to die? Do it if you want to.
Plan some shite. Don't just let life happen to you. Your life will 100% evaporate if you don't at least do shite like, "every year I'd like to go to the car show in Hershey, PA," or have some sort of goal.

So they’ve won two conference championships since you were in your mid 20s. Pretty decent troll.

Amazing. LSU, without our 3 championships since 2000 can turn UA against slobbering dog a little harder.
