It turns out that getting rid of bullying wasn't a great idea afterall.

People need to get bullied. I am not talking about getting the shite beat out of them, but doing it to some degree helps people like this in the long run.
I fully agree when we were growing up if a kid came to school like this we would throw them in the trash can until they stopped doing this stupid stuff

googled something I never thought I would "how much do costumes furies wear cost"
It turns out DIY costumes can cost several $100 but a good high quality one cost between $5000 - $9000.
your pop up adds are going to be wild for the next few weeks until your algorithm resets

There was an episode of King of Queens where Spence met a person dressed as an ice cream cone and they started flirting. He later found out it was a dude.

I saw a CSI episode once. Apparently they have elaborate animal costumes with flaps so they can hook up without seeing each other.
I saw the same CSI episode where the coyote furry got shot by a landowner thinking it was a real coyote at night and from a couple of hundred yards away.

I remember when I first found out about this foolishness. About 20 years ago was up late flipping channels and MTV had a show called True Life. One was "True Life I'm addicted to inhaling" then right after was "True Life, I'm a Fury" it was like watching a slow motion train wreck. I was shocked it was not only real but entire conventions of people who go and hook up as costumed characters

Let me tell you how F'd this stuff has gotten, my daughter, 11, told me one day how they have kids at school that are "furries" that think they are animals, dogs or cats. They simulate trying to walk in 4 legs and lick/groom themselves. They're freaking weirdos and the school tolerates this crap.
Where it flipped for me is when she told me these weirdo kids were really aggressive and would try to scratch other students, simulating a cat, and crap like that.
I told her she ever feels threatened by these weirdos, if they get into her space, or if they physically touch her, she has my permission to start swinging and defend herself. She will not get in trouble from me and I will take care of any issues from the school.
These weirdo kids need to be mentally evaluated. Instead there is "tolerance". Nah, this isn't doing any of these kids any good.
This is in rural South Dakota, BTW.
