I was there last night. Cool experience. Jordan Hare hasn't seen that many latinos since the last time they replaced the sod. I kinda felt bad for Messi's teammates. I don't know much about soccer, but I do know he's like the Jordan of soccer. But man, 99% of the people there (there were a few folks from Iceland) were there just for Messi.

If you have not spent significant time in Europe I suppose their acting might seem genuine.

Well I have and we Americans have it so much better in pretty much every metric that counts.

I don't understand why so many mouth breathers on TD are fascinated by TulaneLSU

His old post and account (Charles Bronson) clearly show it's a whole stupid schtick he came up with. Once he started doing it, and people clapped like seals about it, he really leaned into it.

The dude is really an autist. His shite goes back before Charles Bronson on other sites.

Skeptics in this thread say that no European would be fascinated by this and they are just pandering to us dumb Americans

In 2013 at the LSU-Auburn game 3 Canadians were there for the game and it was a similar experience.

Sean's BBQ quest giving Freddy a run for hits!

Scottish Fan's BBQ Quest Sparks Regional Rivalry Across America

Traveling for soccer, Shaun posted a photo of Eastern Carolina vinegar-sauced ribs near Charleston, South Carolina, earning 15,000 likes and fierce replies from fans defending North Carolina pork, Texas brisket, Kansas City sweets, and more. He drove to Luling, Texas, for City Market's beef brisket and smoky sausage, proclaiming Texas in the lead amid warm welcomes from locals. His light-hearted quest highlights America's passionate regional BBQ divides, blending hospitality with friendly rivalries as the World Cup festivities build.

Nah the Saints confirmed that he is German. Also an American would not be dumb enough to eat in Waffle House parking lot in New Orleans when the dining area was closed.

Rumor is the German guy is American. He refuses to show his face or his voice and multiple outlets have said he's refused interviews.

It’s really cool at how they’ve been embraced by everyone

Haven’t seen any of them talking shite . It could be my algorithm though or an encouragement for engagement to be positive to pop for views

But it’s nice to see

That said, I think these World Cup fans are different. They seem like they’re genuinely just posting their experience rather than trying to manufacture some viral persona

One of my friends is going to the game at Cowboys Stadium tomorrow. Lifelong soccer fan, player, coach, and ref. He's been to Cowboys Stadium a bunch, but he's been talking about finally getting to go to a WC game in person for the first time in his life. He didn't even care who would be playing when he bought the tickets before the teams were announced(iirc).

Now imagine seeing a new continent for the first time and basically knocking two big things off your bucket list with a road trip that constantly surprises you. It seems genuine to me, too, not people chasing clout as some "influencer"

I’ve been to Europe. Europe sucks. They are so oppressed and they don’t even realize it. They work their blue collar jobs, get off at 5, go to the pub, go home and do it all over again. Then in the weekends they watch soccer.
