Yep. Looking back on the days of your youth wearing rose colored glasses sure can skew the memories.

I'm 70 and guilty of it sometimes.

I remember when getting into the Saenger Theater in the mid 60's cost me $1.25 to watch newly released movies in nicely padded seats in an air conditioned theater.

Sounds too cheap to be true, but at the time I was working my first paying job and getting paid $1.25 an hour. And there's where the reality rears its head.

It just depends on where you stick it.

In a forest with lots of shade by a lake, you will probably break the low 90’s.

But if you stick it in a city surrounded by concrete and asphalt, you can easily break the 100’s.

Concrete and asphalt can get hot under the sun. There is a reason why it buckles if you don’t put enough expansion joints.

This is where all the idiots with no ability to be objective due to their politics beliefs come out to show themselves

Not even debating the why, it is undoubtedly hotter on average

You're just carrying too much money in your wallet. Makes it heavy and causes you to sweat. If you'd just send more of it to your federal government they'll reverse global warming.

Yep, no AC in schools

Today’s kids would be calling their parents to come get them before 9:00 AM for half the school year. You’d have to shut schools down.

Someone never went to BREC summer camp in a gym with no AC.

Summers growing up in baton rouge were never as hot as what we’ve had the past two year

Houston 2011 was absolutely brutal and in the middle of catastrophic drought.

before that, 1980 was horrible.

Coolest summer I can remember, so my perspective will be a hell of a lot different.

At least it's already mid-July so we only have 2.5 more months of people being little fairies about the summer heat.

Yep, mine didn't have AC and one window wouldn't come down. I rode with others quite a bit.

Lol. We're coming out of a mini ice age and some want us to believe that it's supposed to stay that temperature as if the globe has a thermostat like our houses do and if the temp rises it means global hvac system is going out and we have to destroy capitalism to get the repair guy out.

I think, maybe, just maybe, control is the objective and fear is the vehicle to obtain it. Unfortunately the masses are so lazy and ignorant of history and actual scientific data that they will believe that there is a specific temp the earth should stay at and the wild fluctuation that has existed since our little ball began orbiting the sun is cause for panic.

We’ll that settles it. Two summers in a row where it’s hot in, of all places, Louisiana. I’m convinced. It’s got to be manmade climate change.
