Do they ever plan on finishing this or are they going to let it ride for the rest of history?

Nothing in life that is good is easy.
Getting out of Louisiana included.

Death, Taxes, and Road Construction.

It's been a permanently ongoing repair during my lifetime. They must have built that section of I-10 on quicksand.

Never! I've made that drive pretty regularly for 25 years now and there has always been construction on the TX side. LA side not so much! From the state line to Houston, there is always some project ongoing.

I’ve always been convinced that they don’t own enough land to store their equipment on so they just keep it working on the interstate somewhere

Trying to slow down the LSU grads from hauling arse to Houston

I recently drove to San Antonio. It seemed like road construction the WHOLE way.

No shat! I tried escaping Lafayette a few times from Lourdes around rush hour. Since there is no loop or parkway, I was stuck on Kaliste......then the Throughway for an hour. Ambassador usually bad too, but it was the first time in my life that I felt claustrophobic in a damn town. ??

My favorite section is where you get to hydroplane 100 yards in between a concrete barrier and a semi doing 70 in a monsoon while throwing 500 gallons of water on your windshield.

As soon as they're done they'll have to start all over again.

I know this part like the back of my hand. Right when you pass the Texas welcome center at the bend in the interstate. I've had several close calls there that would have been disasters if I didn't know what was coming.

I honestly can not remember a time when there was not construction on 1-10 on the Texas/Louisiana border.
It wasn't somewhere I would go often. Maybe once or twice every few years and I guess I thought that it just so happened they were working on something when I passed by, until I started working for a company in which I had to go to Houston several times and hear people who had to go back and forth on a regular basis.
What the hell are they always working on?
Also, it seems like there is always road construction going on in Lake Charles.

It’s been happening for decades and will never end. The state tree of Louisiana: The orange traffic cone.

It was the consensus of the board that this stretch of interstate between basically Orange and Beaumont has been under construction for at least 15 years straight.
It’s fricking infuriating. Someone should be hung from one of the overpasses for this.

It’s because Texas doesn’t give a shite about the far southeast corner. Got bigger fish to fry.
