Idalia is definitely getting its act together now. Finally has convection wrapped around its center.

Please flip the surge protector switch on your way out. Thank you.

It will be interesting to see what they find. System is pulling away from Cuba and currently has dual rotating updrafts near the LLC, which is usually a bad sign. However, the updrafts are still somewhat pulsing vs. just going to town, and there appears still to be some dry air on the NW side.

This damned moon is going to be our problem in Southern South Carolina. We expect a flood tide already, but who knows what this storm will push in.
I didn’t even think of that, full moon tomorrow. Just need the center of whatever rotation remains to pass south of us.
Fun fact, I just got a tide clock and need to start it on low tide of the full moon. Was gonna set it tomorrow.

I forgot about King Tide.
I know in Myrtle Beach they believe the worst of onshore winds will arrive after King tide Wednesday night. Hopefully it will be the same for Charleston. Charleston floods anyways.

Seems like the pressure is dropping pretty fast now?

Years ago I was in myrtle Beach and a tropical storm came through that had come up through the Florida gulf side. It was surprisingly rougher than expected for something that had already crossed a lot of land.
