Eastern Gulf at risk doesn't think it will go west. Showed anywhere from tip of Louisiana to Florida in play. Need to see how it moves and forms before pinpointing US impacts

18z GFS shifts back some after going all in at 12z. It is still doing some funky stuff from 500mb up that allows the storm to get farther NW and a bit more stacked than the other models.

Also, the 12z Euro leaves some energy in the Western Gulf and then lifts it northward as maybe a depression. Brings decent rains to Louisiana.

I can’t wish for even a low end Cat 1 hurricane. Learned my lesson with Hurricane Isaac that the low end rain event hurricane can be more problems than it’s worth
