Is this thing going to turn right or just continue north and break up?

There's always a chance, but the GFS was the only real fan of this solution and it has backed off of it.

I just made the drive from Tallahassee down to the coast. Power lost in Tally around 9:00, no traffic lights, zero power in Crawfordville but crews are working on it. Some debris in roads but very little traffic. One major road closed by a big tree across it but coastal highway is open. We dodged a bullet, but I hate what happened to the other side of the bay. Cool area of Florida.

Charleston news is saying no debris yet. Which isn't a surprise as this is very rural.

It'll give Summerville a close shave if its keeps going though.

Edit: warning expired.

Been watching the weather Channel for about 10 minutes. This is just awful tv. It's basically just fear porn the entire time. Instead of saying some places are doing well its a constant there's still chances of disaster!

Ite sad that they've been wrapped up in the news bullshite agenda

I’d recommend watching the YouTube channels like Ryan Hall.

Anything on TV, is just fear porn.

The eye is better defined now than when it came ashore.

The Jacksonville radar is picking up what is probably blowing sand from the beaches.

That's not rain from south of Ponte Vedre up to Saint Mary's.

To be fair, Ryan Hall makes his living off of fear porn clickbait thumbnails and he isn't a meteorologist.

I get what you're saying, but it's an active storm posing a threat to the remaining places in its path. it's definitely doom and gloom, but they still have people that need to be warned of what's coming.

Yeah that’s fair with the thumbnails, but he’s much more reasonable to listen to.

Someone on here gave my information to a friend with contacts in Crawfordville (I am unsure which poster gave me the contact but the person I was in contact with had the initials of JM). He said power was out but damage was not terrible. Much worse in Perry, and he is trying to contact some people he knows there to get them in touch with me.

If anyone else knows someone there I can be reached at

alphaandomegatd@gmail.com This is for Here to Serve (free hot meals) that I have mentioned on here before.

Just looking for the best place to setup to help. We provide everything for free, we just need a large parking lot to setup in and running water is helpful (even if we have to boil water to use we need it for cleaning up the kitchen).

Any information much appreciated.

Max gust I have seen in South GA has been 67mph. There was a 77mph gust just across the line into FL. Most stations are still up and running. There are gaps in reporting time, though, so there could be higher gusts.

This is a fast mover which is good. Only drawback it holds together further inland.

Ryan Hall is a clickbait guy at times. Some of the titles and thumbnails he uses for his videos are just for getting clicks. His live coverage of weather events is alright, though.

I don't have an issue with anyone watching him. Though, I will never stop saying that when the shite is on your doorstep you should always rely on the locals who know your area and actually have a vested interest in it.
