Correct. The Euro has a 1000mb low, so weaker than what we see now, passing over New Orleans.

However, that is stronger than what the Euro showed in its previous run. So a trend west and a bit stronger from the Euro. Probably won't change much from here on out, just not enough time.

Got me 2 12 packs of Abita beer for tomorrow. Enough to get shite faced so I don't have to watch the LSU game with any clarity and enough to ride the storm out.

Yeah, this isn't really my primary concern or even one of my top 5. NOLA is not typically prone to looting outbreaks if the power goes out for a bit. It happens a lot here actually - power outages, not looting on any sort of scale. Katrina was a bit of a different situation.

No, this isn't Katrina the whole city wont be flooded and all the cops will not have either been flooded, saving people or have left town.

It's knots, and it's better than a wild guess or a gut feeling, but you can't bank on it yet.

That's out of my hands, I want to move the forums to our actual website, but we would lose all of our posts and everyone would have to sign up again.

You think assholes wont be looting if all of downtown loses power. Sometimes you have to think outside of the realm of the weather itself and more on the line of what happens when power is out for an extended period of time. Where this storm lands and any intensity increases could dramatically effect if the power is out 6 hours or two days. That Matters even though it wont be catastrophic.
