What the hell is it doing?
It's wayyyy slower than the 18z run.

I like daytime landfalls so you can actually see what's going on.
You sound just like my old man. He has had a grudge against nighttime hurricanes since Camille.

I remember in Gustav when the power was out for a long time so the radio keeps doing continuous coverage for days.. And the A list hosts are tired and have to get some sleep so they bring in the D team of people like Condon and whatever guy is there cleaning the bathrooms to talk to you at 2 am while you're trying to sleep.

18z GFS
00z GFS
Slower, weaker, and slightly east.
Not sure what this will mean for landfall and where, but that's pretty significant in just 6 hours.

Your comment made it sound like a hurricane watch was unnecessary for your area.
My apologies that was not my intention. I just got home from a business trip and was unaware there was a storm until my phone sent me an alert. I watched a few minutes of the Weather Channel and remembered that we have some very knowledgeable people on this board concerning these storms so I wanted to see what y'all had to say. Seems like you get better information on this board than the Weather Channel. I know absolutely nothing about predicting the path of a storm but I do know that there is a strong wind from the north blowing here in Daphne, AL so I hope it pushes that storm farther west and does not hit LA.

That has it moving pretty much NNW to get to that point. It's moving NW so they don't even have it going the right way.

Wouldn’t slower mean more time to strengthen

Nice
Luckily I only have one on my property, but it's about 60 feet tall

And more time for trough to push it east

This GFS run is comical, but good news it is doesn't really develop Nate whatsoever.

I'm not sure if it is slower and east or just more sloppy. The GFS has gone back to the multiple vort max solution...
