It's anfricking message board. Sharing opinions is kind of the point. Go watch the news of you're looking for something else.

Every hurricane thread worth it's salt has a few good fights like this.

Nate has finally arrived.

Just about to post the newest VDM.

1.5 mb/hr give or take on the strengthening. Steady strengthening but the West Caribbean always has some potential for explosive intensity jumps. So far, about as good as you could hope for in the path.

Do you think we will wake up in the morning to a more western or more eastern jog? Or stay the same?

I wonder if Nate can hold off of hurricane status for another 18 hours as suggested, but we'll find out soon enough.

In my humble opinion, I think we'll see Nate make landfall between Venice and Grand Isle.

To me it doesn't get much better than the GOES visible floaters, I could watch them all day. Hes definitely gaining some girth there towards the end but still relatively disorganized, all good so far. Unless there's some major RI overnight tonight it seems it's moving too fast to reach it's full potential in these otherwise favorable conditions.

It's still kinda scary when you take the RI that's been the theme of the season into account. Fingers crossed over here for sure.

So it’s at 65mph now and going to traverse halfway through the gulf tomorrow and stay a TS?
