I like windy for location projections, but the wind isn’t going to be accurate.

How many km/h are the wind speeds on this cyclone?

It's meters per minute that matter.
When you get hit in the face with a 2x4, you don't care how fast it would travel a kilometer. It's that last meter that counts

Went by today and locked my boat down as much as possible. I have it in a storage facility but its near the coast in Bradenton. Its a new area and my boat is surrounded by RV's. Im leaning on the thought that the RV's are going to shelter my tub from some of the wind.
Tightened everything down and put some blocks around the tires. There really isnt much else I could have done. It is just going to have to ride it out like the rest of us.
That storage facility is very close to ground zero. :(

I use windfinder for off shore winds when I want to take the boat out and have been pretty happy with it. Just not sure how good it is for this application

Last 2 hours of satellite and recon looks like he's still turning left ever so slightly. Maybe 55-60 degrees from the 70 at last advisory.
That final heading for tonight and early tomorrow along with when the gradual turn to the right tomorrow as it gets close begins will be the key parts of the track to watch.

You may have an issue, I have short legs and long torso so I ride 54s with long stems.
I'll stop this non-sequitur threadjack given the nature of the thread is more serious than the average OT thread.

Honest question - why not take that boat and yourself and head out of town? No fuel?

Ahhhhh ok, whew. I was worried that I'd have to negatively judge you.

There are just a lot of issues, as usual, that we considered. First, towing that boat gets me about 7-8Mpg. So fuel is an issue. Plus, my wife is a first responder at the local hospital.
I know there are always people with these "reasons". We just have ours.
So, we ride. And hold on Wednesday night

One thing I saw mentioned by the Coast Guard was reminding folks to take the emergency beacon deals out of their boats. They said with every storm they wind up going on a few wild goose chases for beacons that people left in boats. Don't know if it would apply to you, but I found it noteworthy and forgot to link the tweet here.

Are there any webcams along the beach that should be linked in the OP?
