I live 80 miles due north of Baton Rouge. If this storm does make landfall around Pensacola, is my area far enough away to miss most of the high winds?

You can pretend you’re in a hurricane and drink if you want.

While the regional
hurricane models have generally come down on the peak intensity this
cycle, it is unknown whether this is the start of a real trend, and
we would prefer to see more than one guidance cycle before making
any adjustments. The new forecast is close to the previous one,
near the high side of the model suite.

They got MBA's now in NOAA.

There will be no power later. And there will be no police available to handle the game. They will all be handling numerous other problems all over the state of Alabama, they 100% cannot do the game after this thing lands. They will probably have to move it altogether to another open BYE date.

Who is the dude on there that does hurricanes? He always sounds like he's on speed or something. The dude talks so fast almost like he wants to orgasm over the smallest thing on the storms.

I posted the current shear map few pages ago. The northern half of the gulf is hostile right now

The shear may help it strengthen as it Isaias moves east but when it turns north that shear will rip it up. I have a hard time seeing cat 2 at landfall

Central Alabama will have maybe 40 mph winds and 2-3 inches of rain. The storm will be gone by the time the game is scheduled to start. I could see it being delayed a bit but they aren’t relocating and they aren’t rescheduling.

LSU kicks at 6. If they move the Georgia Bama game back to 9, I wont be mad.

These storms spin off tornadoes all over the place, there will be a danger to anyone attending the game or traveling to the game. Also, the police will not be available to do their normal game day activities for the game... they will be busy.
I don't see any way they play it after this thing lands. If they do anything this weekend, it's gonna be before.

The issue is people traveling to Tuscaloosa. If the track remains, the tornados will be away from Tuscaloosa and the system will be in Tennessee by mid afternoon Saturday.

You’re overreacting.
