When Irma was going to skirt the east coast of Florida and hit SC. Tampa would have gotten some strong wind but not the life threatening devastation that they'll get with getting in the eyewall like today's path shows

Pretty good agreement between the 18z GFS, HWRF & HMON of moving the center very close to Key West and then moving in around Ft Myers.
