Florida. Looks like they may take a big hit.

They've all consistently had the turn north though. I don't think it had enough time to make it to the gulf but I have no clue what I'm talking about.

Louisiana - not yet, but it's looking like they should at least be prepared in the next couple of days, just to be safe.
WTF no
They should watch the news but this storm is going nowhere near Venice, LA. Telly your family to enjoy this badass weather we are having.

Gustav got the water too close for their comfort and they moved shortly after (still in the 'Dell... just much further inland) Katrina proved them right (old house - gone... new house - ~1 inch of water)
I'm confused on the sequence and order of these events?

I went to Carr drive in Slidell 4 days after Katrina to help a friend check on his house. His house was gone. GONE, as in they never identified it among the rubble of all the other houses 2 miles inland past Hwy. 11. Tree equations would have been irrelevant. None still standing had top
Did you see the video of the old man that stayed on Carr drive? That video alone will make me never stay

Let's try to clear this up. This is the 2PM 5 day forecast from Monday.
This is the 2PM 5 day forecast from Wednesday.
This is the 2PM 5 day forecast from today.
What do you notice?
Yes, that's right, Irma is staying well inside of the 5 day forecast, following it almost exactly.
The east and west shifts with the models are volatile, but the NHC takes all of that and puts together a damn fine forecast and gives you a cone of uncertainty to boot. If you're in that cone you should take it seriously. If you're near the cone you should monitor the situation.
