All in yesteryear now. I park my truck by what used to be the horse. Vacant lot now. Only thing left is some of the floor.

I should go and try to pull up a piece for a souvenir. Had some really good times there.

I rather people not prop up a pussy storm. It's more about attracting viewers than about informing people.

NOAA and the media attempting to build every storm into a super storm is why no one takes the warnings seriously.

This warning should have been a large thunderstorm will be moving over central MS...end of story.

Yep, kids out of school yesterday and today, for no reason whatsoever...

I hope someone in the Archdiocese gets a lot of heat for this bullshite..

Exactly, anyone could pull up the radar yesterday and pretty much see this would be a nonevent for SE Louisiana but that doesn’t fit in with the overhype everything world we live in.

Abita Springs checking in. We’re ok guys. Was a harrowing night. 14 drops of rain and a 4mp wind gust. I’m thankful my kid is out of school today so we can work on picking up the pieces. At least the pavement isn’t wet so I can safely drive around.

Just drove all of Ft Morgan Rd
. Nothing more than pine needles in the road and a few scattered trash cans.

They don't even get shite for diddling little boys. You think keeping kids home from school is going to be a problem for them?

With today’s technology, we should develop a model with impacts built into the graphic as a shaded intensity around the center along the predicted path and not just a straight line.

Also, we need to take into account for these lopsided systems that anything west of the center will be pretty much unaffected.

Schools should not close unless it is a hurricane that the path is uncertain or a tropical storm that is projected to be the west of us and has started to drop copious amounts of rain.

And for today humorous local news reporting, I flipped to WKRG long enough to for Mel Showers to call the storm Gordo and then the anchorette announce let’s take you to the weather center with Thomas Geboy (Yes it is prounced as though the e is an ay).

I literally was doing double takes each time they said it.

That was enough for me and I went to bed.

Edited for clarity.

I saw the Baldwin EMC outage map and it looks pretty good right now. Did you ever lose electricity?
