Followed closely by San Francisco at #10! Clearly this is a solid list

How long before Maw maw will be touting this ranking and taking credit for it.

I Never been to Huntsville and really don’t see any reason to go. Seems very antiseptic to me. Void of character.

I’d rank Mobile above all other spots in alabama but that’s me. I love water.

Mobile is still an hour from the coast. If you love water, you're better off in lower Baldwin County.

Seriously, what does Alabama have to offer except for two decent college football teams and Gulf Shores.

Good cost of living, good jobs, good people, clean public spaces, standards for public highways, seasons, actual scenery, etc. I swear, every time we drive into Louisiana it is an immediate visceral reaction to the state of the roads, to the trash on the side of the I10. Especially driving through the East. Even mundane transactions at the grocery store are altogether pleasant. It's surreal compared to the attitude and entitlement you face from many NOLA residents stuck in jobs they hate due to their "go nowhere, do nothing" mentality.

I couldn't give 2 fks about an NBA team or an NFL team being located in-state. That's what cable TV and the internet is for.

Huntsville? Jobs that pay more . Lower cost of living. Outdoor activities. Schools. Restaurants. Music. And a morning trip into Nashville if you choose.

Couldn’t be happier my kid is there after moving from Houston area

Heading back home to visit family next month, looking forward to catching a concert at the Orion. Friends posted a bunch of pictures from this weekend at the facility. Looks great.

Alabama’s largest city climbed to the top of the ratings after being rated No. 3 in 2021.
The ratings are based on methodology that considers such factors as job market, housing affordability, quality of life, desirability and net migration ratings, according to the media company.

Other factors considered include data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, Sharecare, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and U.S. News rankings of best high schools and hospitals.

Been here for two years, not planning on leaving anytime soon!

With all the Birmingham talk, I always wondered why Huntsville didn't get more love. I like it much more than Birmingham, and that includes Mountain Brook, Homewood, Vestavia, Hoover, etc.

For Alabama, in my opinion, its Fairhope>Huntsville> Birmingham.

Agreed. Fairhope>Huntsville>Birmingham>mobile is probably the general preference. Fairhope must have been too small to qualify for the list. My personal preference is probably Fairhope>mobile>Birmingham>Huntsville but as I said that’s just personal preference and honestly only reason I put Birmingham above Huntsville is I’ve spent more time there and know more about it. How Montgomery being above mobile is a complete joke.

Probably Campus No. 805, with both Straight to Ale and Yellowhammer brewing.

The developer is doing the same thing with an old elementary school here in Pelham: Campus No. 124.

truly no better place for the overall quality and number of quality golf courses in the country. They do golf right in North Alabama.
