I mean come on, it's a growing city that just really hit the next level on it's growth spurt. Check back in 10 years and see whether you want to live in wherever you are now, or Huntsville.

I moved to Madison from BR last summer with zero regrets. I'm not sure about #1, but it I love this area a lot more than any city in Louisiana I've lived in. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see tons of hipsters, just tech bros. Hell I've spent the last 2 weeks in Homewood helping with a transition of a new contract and love it there. The traffic is worse than the Huntsville area, but doesn't touch BR and their insane traffic. I will still go to 2 or 3 games at Death Valley every year like I did when I lived in BR without actually having to live in BR.

Alabama quality of life seems to be much higher than Louisiana

There’s shite to do everywhere. Scuba diving in lakes, NICE hiking, beaches, etc
