that is why if you click the little speaker button next to the words, the computer will read it out

Living in new orleans east in the 90s..I once had a math question in 3rd grade where you had to figure out the price of an item through subtraction. It ended with, "how much do a sandwich cost?"

But do you think the average kindergartner can? Of course not. You and your kid are what SHOULD be expected. But are far form the norm. Unfortunately.

Those phonetics are not even part of the Kindergarten curriculum. Of course some are exceptional and above average, but this has to do with the parents.
