There is a podcast that talks about the history of roundabouts in the US. Apparently the original rules were the circle had to yield to the incoming traffic and it created backups so bad cops had to be stationed in them to undo them

Better than they used too but still kind of bad. Louisiana still has a lot of low iq people who freak out at the thought of anything slightly different or innovative.

If inclined properly, I bet some cars can make it up to the freeway deck around this point.

Usually it's a shitshow in my experience. Either some douche in a car is taking forever to go or some douche in a truck w/ trailer takes off right in front of you.

In defense of drivers, Louisiana decided to start constructing roundabouts in significant numbers while most Louisiana drivers had zero experience in using them. Pretty tough to just hop in there and be a pro.

When the first installed roundabouts in my town I witnessed multiple times old people going the wrong way.

Was just thinking about this an hour ago. Went to pick someone up from the airport and I was laughing at some of the people trying to drive through it.
Of course these are the same nimrods who can’t figure out how to pull over to the side or navigate traffic when picking people up.
My favorite is the “roundabout” on south Causeway at Airline Hwy. It blows peoples mind

It's rare that we can get through a whole week without some confused F-250 driver just charging right through the grass in the center of the ones they added in Walker.

Hammond and walker roundabouts are stupid.
Same for BR L’auberge.
The one in Alexandra works fine.
