The low-volume traffic circles out in the boonies work really well from what I’ve seen. They seem great for roads that usually only have 2-3 cars approaching an intersection at a time.
The ones in Walker are a shite show. Mostly because they are horribly designed. Shitty lighting, shitty signage, poor visibility due to elevation changes, I could go on. That being said - they are still more efficient than stop lights now that people in the area have figured them out.
I imagine the ones on Terrace will be fine. The Dalrymple/Washington setup looks like a shite show just because of the overall layout. Wtf is the point of a u-turn lane at the WB Washington exit if they are keeping the WB Dalrymple exit AND you can get back to it from the Washington traffic circles? It’s like they are preparing for white people to freak out when they realize they missed their exit and wound up on Washington.
ETA: Looks like it’s so you can get on I-10 EB from Dalrymple. Hopefully DOTD is keeping game day traffic in mind as they go through this process. Being able to go east on I-10 from Dalrymple could be huge if done right.

Seems easier for the traffic flow to eliminate left turns while allowing them to loop back around.

They built one at Head of Island about 5-6 years ago and I thought it was going to be a shite show but other than a little hesitation here and there at the beginning it has worked out far better than I expected and I rarely see anyone having any issues negotiating it. It has reduced the afternoon backup that used to be terrible with the after work traffic coming down 22 and turning onto 16 or 22.

About the only nice thing while passing through Baton Rouge is the view of the lakes. Note the noise barriers on the maps.
Someone passing trough will think that they are in Detroit or made a wrong turn into a concrete drainage canal.

roundabouts arent the problem, the problem people have navigating roundabouts is the horrible signage improperly positioned and with small print you cant read and stay in your lane while doing it
