I tossed my ice chest into the back of my truck and walked from the tailgate to the LSU game Saturday. The bed is exposed. No cover.

I had spent most of the day cooking leg quarters and pork chops for us to eat for the entire week. Placed the food into a magnalite and tupperware.

When I returned from the game the entire ice chest was emptied. They left the magnalite. Took all the food, beer and water(only an idiot doesn't know the value of the magnalite).

I didn't even have a water to give to my pregnant wife.

I view the taking of the contents of the ice chest in the bed of the truck just as serious as breaking into the cab, even though the ice chest was exposed in the bed of the truck.

Was I too careless and naive? Was it a student or someone preying on naive and careless people like me?

This was a real kick in the nuts for me b.c. I would never think of breaking into someone's vehicle and taking something that is not mine.

How upset should I be that you drive a truck that hurts the environment when we only have 12 years left on earth?

It's shitty, but I don't leave anything in the bed of my truck that I'm not prepared to lose when going to the LSU games. Sucks, but it happens.

Probably some drunk kids.

But yeah, you gotta lock it up to keep the honest people honest. You leave a wallet on the tail gate and somebody is going to take it.

I live by a few mantras....one of them is:

You cannot control what anyone else does....you can only control what you do.

You should have secured your shite better

When I was a sophmore in high school and started driving a buddy and I would go to the LSU game and leave at halftime and raid peoples ice chest for beer. It was wrong but I wouldn't put it on the same level as breaking into the cab.

100%

It was probably some drunk 18 year olds who couldn't find anyone to buy them more beer, so they took yours. Never leave anything valuable just sitting in the bed of the truck

I had my entire ice chest stolen during the Bama game last year. Learn and move on. Won’t be leaving anything out ever again.

What side of campus were you parked on? That will tell me who went into your ice chest. South was high school kids, north was hood rats

So... they leave the ice chest and magnalite, but take the beer food and water?

You sure you didn't black out, drink all of the beer and water and eat the food?

When I was in HS we used to raid ice chests before/during/after LSU games regularly. We used to go on Friday nights and hit up the RV lots and stock up on beer for gamedays. This has been going on for quite a while, atleast they left the ice chest.

You should be just as upset as these idiots that say their truck got broken into..... even though they left the doors unlocked.

First of all, magnalite pots are shite gramps.

secondly, if you leave an ice chest out while you go to the game, i think you can expect it's contents to be possibly taken, and possibly the whole ice chest. I think it's stupid that we live in a world where that happens, but it does, so you leave it out at your own risk.
