You should do the exact same thing next week in the same place but this time poison the meat.

I mean, yeah...but I get why you're mad.

But yeah...no way I ever leave anything I care about in the back of my truck...even if I;'m just running into a store, let alone an entire football game with no one watching the vehicle.

Yes. I was robbing trucks' ice chests of canned beer since I was in jr high.

And we would take only cans. Bottles could be traps of piss.

You should know better than to leave any goods exposed.

Thanks for the beer and food.

FYI, the pork chops were overcooked.

It really wasn’t too long ago that you could leave things at the tailgate and people would sort of observe the protocol, sort of like not walking on graves when going to a burial, not so much anymore

Do you really think kids stealing beer out of ice chests is some new phenomenon?

I think they did you a favor considering you were going to feed your unborn child week old chicken and pork.

25+ years of tailgating, we've only ever had beer/drinks stolen and then only once.

Next time put a live rattlesnake in your ice chest. The offenders will never offend again.

I would always leave an ice chest chock full of cheap beer out in the open for that, no biggie, never had any other issues

Where on campus was this person parked? I don't think I've ever had this problem before.

Yes, you were naive and kind of stupid, but yes, whoever did this is a total piece of shite. Leaving something in the open and unlocked like that, especially with that many people passing by, you kind of have to assume that someone is going to take advantage. You should think that's the most likely outcome rather than your stuff being untouched when you get back.

Exactly. If I had done what you did, I'd actually be happy that they only took the contents rather than everything.

Is it that hard to comprehend kids stealing beer from an ice chest left unattended?

unsecured ice chest left in the back of a pickup truck with 100,000+ people (many of them poor drunk college kids) milling around?

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

Next time you leave food in the back of your truck you'll know to douse it in cyanide before you leave it unattended. More than 1 way to prevent recurrent crime!

You're lucky they didn't seat the ice chest. It happened to us, and that's why we invested in a tailgating trailer.
