If you remember in the Terminator films, AI could scan faces and determine if it was friend or foe. Thus dispatching it and completing its mission.

Speed up to 2020, facial recognition software and will be implemented to be compatible with AI data bases and its hardware not software will limit the usefulness of AI.

How do you fight against a super computer that can think for itself?

Information overload.

This happens to humans too. Decisions are more difficult to happen when things look the same. Which twin do you kill?

We will be able to wreck autonomous cars by using simple lasers and painted lines. Technology will never be able to replicate the power humans have.

Oil slicks like in the game Spyhunter will probably dupe an AI that has road rage and is coming after you.

Unplug the power plants for about a day or two.

AI is important for the exploration of space and water. We should have rocket ships that travel light years away on nuclear power.

Are you an assassin?

Do you regularly run into this thicket?

Once AI begins creating its own version of AI, iI will be far superior to the power humans have.

But would the old AI be good or bad?

There are all sorts of online gimmicks to overcome AI recognition, ranging from cloaks to Wearable projectors to glass masks. LINK

That, detective, is the right question.

I guess the answer to that would be dependent upon whoever is making such judgement. For instance, would it be made in accordance to the moral code of humanity or the AI’s? Hard to imagine the two would always be aligned. My initial thought is that the old AI, by virtue of being a creation of humanity without any outsider’s contributions, would be more so aligned with our moral compass than something created solely by old AI. So, as far as I can deduce, the AI we create would share more commonalities with humanity than any of the derivative versions it would create of itself, and thus would be more “good” than “bad” from our perspective. And, conversely, our perception of newer AI (AI created by AI) would be more “bad” than “good”.

Downloading porn from Limewire was always the fastest way to fry a computer. So that would be my first step. After a few hours or so, I would evaluate.
