How do the kids feel if she has one that’s the same age as the one she cheated with? Work with a guy that this actually happened to. They had children and one was friends with the student.

I don't know if you're aware, but your question is THE answer to the question as to why this is such a serious offense.
The usual incel response is "good for the kid, derp"...
But the truth is, you NEVER put kids in these adult situations.
The Husband/boyfriend is going to be angry, period.
That Husband/boyfriend is going to want to find an outlet for his rage.
You don't want to put some pimply faced, immature kid in the path of that rage.
The results could be deadly.
