Not one bit.

Hair usually shows the more of the habitual users.

One line or one joint a month ago is not issue

You’ll probably be fine.

Unrelated, but I always lol at the notion that any weed consumption will show up 30 days later on a pee test.

Even a weekend smoker can pee clean in a couple weeks.

From personal experience, you are fine. I had a situation ver similar to this. Scared the shite out of me for a couple weeks because I had never dabbled in any illegals and got a call for a job about a month after I did it. Made me realize why I never did and also thankful It didn’t kill my career.

If it's urine I can test clean minutes after smoking. It's called synthetic urine and it works like a charm.

How precise? State of the art forensics...it will show 90 days or one month for every 1/2" of hair... EVERYTHING that has entered your body will show up. You can cut it or shave your head but that will be a virtual admission of use.

Mass spectrometry in hair forenics has improved vastly in last few years. Depends on how well test is conducted, who is doing it... If it's for something like family court review it may be more thorough than a job resume. I wouldn't say your F'd. My daughter worked in a court lab and knows much more about this... from what I've been told, some labs are better, more advanced than others, some situations warrant more thorough / precise investigation

any relation to the original old beachcomber, Bob Scearce?

You should be ok due to the amount of time elapsed.

But they are VERY accurate.

That's super weird they are doing a hair follicle drug test for a new hire.

Why because you think there’s no HR or O&G management baws on this board? Every week one of you frickers trying to get a roughneck job is over here asking about drug tests.

They seem like they known exactly what they are doing.

Oh look another idiot who chose drugs over money and security.

Typical OT thread.

Not weird at all. At my previous employer, every person who went to work for a major like Chevron, Shell, or BP was required to take a hair follicle test. This was for offshore work. They were also subjected to random drug and alcohol test on crew change days at the heliport. You be surprised how many folks lose awesome jobs because they thought it would be smart to get shitfaced the day before crew change. Another command reason people fail is, they pull a muscle and have a little pain, take one of their wives pain killers, and get popped for a random. They are fired for controlled substance with no prescription.

I’d imagine the plants employ many of these same policies. Also, many of these companies use DISA. This means that if you fail when you try to hire on somewhere new, your current employer is going to find out and you’ll likely lose that position as well.

Be smart guys.

Why would the amount of time be in his favor here? NYE was 6 weeks ago. Events 6 weeks ago are in your hair right now.

It would suck to miss out on a good job opportunity for weed and blow.

It's not a particularly good opportunity if they test for drugs. "Not doing drugs" is a 24-hour job, and that's a pretty long workday.

This is why I don’t mess with even weed, let alone coke. It’s just not worth the risk.
