24. 2nd degree murder. Guy killed a couple gay guys with a screwdriver.

Luckily I caused such a problem in the interview process they cut me loose. Defendant was found guilty. I knew it Richard!

Attempted murder trial when I was 39. And I just finished a stabbing in the chest assault trial at age 53. I look honest, and although it has advanced my career, it dooms me to jury selection.

Never have, and now due to my profession I seriously doubt I would ever be allowed to sit on a jury.

I've sat on 5 trials.
4 civil and 1 criminal.

The last time I went the judge was surprised I had been picked so many times.

I'm 25 and never have had to. My profession keeps me off the roster.

The key is to piss off the defense attorney. Be all law and order, and insinuate that you are completely inflexible in your beliefs.

I did this last summer for a capital murder case. Perp was going to be convicted regardless. There were a few like-minded potential jurors with me and we all got called into a separate, smaller courtroom where the defense grilled us one by one. He was visibly pissed when it was said and done, the DA was smirking. I got to enjoy an otherwise uninterrupted summer break.

Come on. You can't leave us hanging. We may disagree on many things but at least you can tell an interesting story. Indulge us.

Summoned twice, but never selected. My misspent youth gets me out as they always ask if you've been arrested. Being a dumbass who liked to party finally shows a perk. You're the first to go if you've been arrested, even for minor shite such as a PI. Especially if they ask how your experience went with the arrest and if you hold any grudge toward the police.

18 and still in high school. Happened about a month after I registered to vote. I got out because I was still in school.

Got called again at 26 but was living/working out of state so they let me out again.

I'm 53 and been summoned in Harris county 7-8 times but never served. Closest I got was being picked to be interviewed (voir dire?) but case was settled before we got into the court.

Other strange thing is I was not summoned for the first time until I was in my 40's despite being registered to vote since 18. I have lived in 3 La. parishes and two Tx. Counties. Harris county finally found me.
