Same. I've also found as I reached 30, I found an appreciation for having most liquors simply neat or on the rocks.

8 years old. I tasted some of my parents "Old Bohemium" and it was Love at first taste. And yet, I have not tasted any beer as good as that since.

Have never drunk beer for the taste; rather, the effect.

Probably 12. that’s the truth. I’m not a big drinker at all but I did like the taste of beer at that age. Also liked the smell of when my grandpa smoked his pipe, and the cigar smoke in Tiger Stadium. I don’t even smoke.

Beer tastes like shite. No clue why people are so attached to it.

Tastes like crap.
It’s the effects produced by beer that make people want the taste.

I started drinking Guinness around 17, which opened my world up to the wonders of "not domestic light" piss water beer.

Now I do enjoy a good piss water from time to time and while tailgating or something outside / hot, but that is Yuengling Light or Miller light strictly. Dixie light is growing on me too.

17. I still remember the moment. I had just finished mowing the yard. I walked into the carport, opened the fridge we had out there, grabbed an ice cold coors light, and slammed a couple big gulps. I thought to myself, damn this is good.

Prior to that I just drank for sport. It was in that moment I began to actually like the taste.

my uncle gave me my first taste at like 9 . i hated it and that stuck with me past my teens Never really like the taste till my 30's but with all the flavored and smooth stuff out there today its pretty easy to drink. If you want your kid to hate alcohol ,for at least 10 years, give it to him young and make sure it the worst tasting beer ever like busch beer or original bud. Did this with my son at 9 and he hates just the mention of beer now. Of course the wife wasnt happy about it but i know i did the right thing

I still remember it vividly. I was 18. Before then we’d drink beer but I always hated the taste.

Then one day after sweating my arse off for 10 hours at work I went to a buddies house. They handed me a cold keystone light. I was thirsty so I brought it to my lips and it was like the stars had aligned. It was just so damn good. It clicked. That ice cold beer was like drunken flavor angels having an orgy on my tastebuds.

Honestly the first time I drank it....can still remember the taste and telling my folks that I wasn't going to smoke but I was going to drink beer (of course I'm now a recovering alcoholic, but that's a different story). I was 12 after shooting my first deer
