I was 45, had it just a few weeks ago.

Pro-tip, the early morning appointment sounds like a good idea, but is not since you have to do your second dose of poop juice 6 hours prior to scope. Early morning appointment means you are on the crapper all night long. Take the noon appointment and wake up at 6 like a normal human being.

56. Didn’t find anything and I have no family history so the doc said I should come back in 10 years. Told him I would see him when I turn 70. My wife has a bad family history and she has to go back in 3 years. Everyone in her family has multiple polyps removed every time they have one.

33.

Easy procedure.

Stats are 5% lifetime risk

Young people are getting colon cancer earlier for some reason and rectal cancer even more frequently.

American cancer society now recommends age 45 regardless of race.

If family member diagnosed 10 years prior to that diagnosis.

Had one at a massage place in Lake Charles. Little pricey but nice.

I'm planning on getting one at 35. I'd rather start early.

Just had one at 46. My grandmother had colon cancer so they do early screening. I enjoyed the Ativan :-)

Just had my first one a few weeks ago at 51. Really nothing to it. Prep wasn’t terrible, I was done in 20 minutes. Like everyone else says... early detection is the key. My wife is a breast cancer survivor because of early detection.

35 about 3 months after my oldest brother died from colon cancer. He was 40. Got a niece that is 35 and 5 years out with colon cancer. It runs very high in my family with many died from it. Just had one a month ago and my guts are covered with polys. Have been having them done every year.

Surely you don't have doctors that do it without, do you?

I’ve had four. One was without anesthesia. With anesthesia is better. But I did get to hear the nurse say “That’s the cleanest colon we’ve seen all day”.
