Monday there were discussions in the office. Mostly people telling everyone not to stay late and be safe. But since Monday there has been absolutely no talk about it. Nobody cares. Just the usual talk as always.

Nobody cares. The majority of people have too much going on in their daily lives to worry too much about all these things.

Its why I try to remind people that social media is not real life all the time.

Unfortunately, not many listen.

We talked about it until we moved on to the next trendy thing. Maybe Church’s will make a chicken sandwich

0, that I’m able to see. If I have any say over it, it won’t be talked about in the public forum. We’re still all working from home so I have no idea what they’re saying amongst each other but we also have a ‘community page’ where we ask each other questions and stuff but nothing like politics or stuff like that.

I only go to the office for a couple of hours once a week. It came up yesterday when one of the boomer ladies said they were just a plot to take down Trump. The other boomer lady joined in and the owner told them to shut up and not talk about that stuff at the office. THen I went home.

I’ve got a big mix of co-workers, polish, Mexican, Guatemalan, Black, yankee, liberal.... and all pretty much have just showed disgust about looters and just made small comments saying they don’t even want to watch the news and follow it. I think all think it’s good the cops were charged and rightfully so.

Politics is a pretty taboo subject at work....work sucks enough without needlessly straining relationships with peers by getting into political arguments.

They had a memorial to pay tribute to George Floyd’s memory where I work yesterday.
Employees were given the opportunity to write short sentiments or memories of him, which were posted around the workplace.

I start office-wide emails about how the company needs to implement implicit bias training and how to recognize white privilege. I'm demanding that we have the difficult conversations about race in this country. Management loved me after I forced them to spend $34,000 to install a gender neutral bathroom with company supplied tampons last year.

Mostly people talk about how stupid they are and how they'd love to run their trucks through the protesters.

I guess my "Never trust a person with two first names." wouldn't have been too welcomed at your workplace.

My insensitivity probably would have sent some of your co-workers to seek their safe spots and landed me in HR Purgatory.
