They lost $27 million in 2022
And that’s why the exec team deserves 0.00 dollars in bonus.
They are a furniture company that has been around for decades. They aren’t some fresh high growth tech bullshite start up.
If they are losing 27 million in 2022 the exec team should be shitcanned. Not receiving 7 fig bonuses. I don’t care if they hit their little diversity goal.

According to reports in this thread, yes.

She started out great. Calm, composed, and speaking facts. Then she went emotional and was extremely unprofessional. Her message she was delivering was good. That employees need to stay engaged so they can get back on track, but the fact is employees are worried and she needed to show more empathy rather than scolding them.

They make office furniture?

seems like once you break into that level of management you drink the Koolaid and really believe you are part of an elite arcane society and everyone else is just naive moroons that must labor away for your benefit

Doing “bonuses” for people like the accounting team has never made any sense. It’s just a way to claw back part of the salary they would otherwise be paid.

You don't get there without a permanent kool-aid enema

Sales people can have sales goals and commission structures. They can have good months and bad months.
The same is not true for accountants. Any bonus given to an accountant is just deferred salary.

She very nicely told those motherfrickers coffee is for closers.

CEO types are absolutely people who believe all company successes are their doing, and all failures are the employees'. They are also great at spinning it that way.
We always joke about pro-sports just rotating the same failed coaches around, but it's the same at the CEO level for companies. They fail, then somehow spin to the next company that it wasn't their fault and this will be different.

I'm a capitalist and I get the financials of it. Probably not the best tone to address it.
"You can visit pity city, but you can't live there"
"Spend your time thinking about the 26 million dollars we need, not thinking about what you are going to do if you don't get a bonus!"
She said everything a good CEO should say and in a much nicer manner than many others I’ve heard.
You sound like a complete baby back bitch. Do you need to be coddled and patted on your arse every time the boss talks to you?

I saw this shite during Covid, partners complaining about productivity from their second houses in the mountains while their employees were stuck in apartments with roommates just trying to get through the day
And now many of those same employees are demanding to work remote. So it must not have sucked that bad, eh?

frick that sanctimonious, condescending bitch

don't completely disagree with what was said to be honest. A bonus is not guaranteed especially in tough times. People are too damn entitled.
One year our company got spun off into its own entity. We lost money that year and people were pissed they didn’t get a bonus.
It was insane.

First you can feel free to lick my a-hole. You sound like you’d enjoy it.
Secondly, do you think her little meltdown will help the company? You think everyone on that call said “oh I should re-double my efforts for her!”

Kind of like airline pilots who are overly impressed with themselves and eaten up with the dumbass over what they do, huh?

If there was some dishonesty about the bonus payouts, then she deserves all the shite she is getting. But if this is a case of people not qualifying for a bonus, even if the CEO did qualify, that's just whiny bitches.
Her bonus could've been tied to the stock price or some other measure and the sales/management could've been very specific sales goals and targets (obviously thi
Which her “peon” lower-level workers make entirely possible.
Screw these executives and their self-serving bonus structures.
