riding it out on the river, not happy this thing took a more N route but hopefully it dies out a hair before we get massacred...

good thing is, looks like the serious rainfall will be to the east of us

Not sure about tonight, but tomorrow I hope all the men out there have their ATV's gassed up and their chainsaws ready to clear the roads of some downed trees. I stayed in Folsom for Katrina. Took 2 days to clear the roads of tree trunks to drive back to Mandeville from where I was staying.

Man a buddy and I helped a 70 year old dude and his dog moor up a sailboat last night in front of madisonville town hall. Been thinking of that dude all day as it’s taken a more East path than anticipated.

I’m in touch with neighbors that stayed behind in Meadowbrook. I hear it’s gotten pretty bad the last hour or so. Water is covering our street and the one that we back up to. Fences down are about the biggest property damage I’ve heard though.

We're okay so far. It just sounds scary as shite outside. Still no flooding concerns.

Wife and kids are asleep in my closet. I kind of just want to drink and pass out and wake up when it's over.

Update on Lonesome Rd area of Mandeville. Power has been out for the past 3 hours or so. Wind has been wicked for the past 2 hours. Rain is pretty much non-stop. Hearing trees have fallen in area. And.... the worst has yet to come.

Not a problem, have a small generator so battery power isn’t an issue. Happy to pass by your residence tomorrow if needed. Let me know how I can help.

We’re in the Bush area. It’s gusting pretty good but, we still have power. I’ve got a tree down somewhere on the property because I heard a big boom a few minutes ago. I’ll find out in the morning.
