Lonesome rd in Mandeville here. Lost power an hour ago. Winds have really kicked it up a notch over the last 45 min too.

If you don't mind, keep updating as long as it's not a burden on your battery. We live near y'all and evac'd, so trying to get an idea of what the conditions are like.

ETA: either you or Tammany Tom

You're a good man. My house is near yours. My security cams are out. Was using those to monitor bf power went out.

Shits starting to get real south of 59 and 1088 intersection. My poor elderly neighbors just had a tree split their house in half.

I have a feeling it's going to be a matter of weeks before power comes back down here.

Wind is definitely picking up here in Mandeville. My neighbors had a tree fall on their pool and back room about an hour ago

Sup Baws. Proud Skipper grad from ‘86. Ain’t lived there in over 20 yrs, but my SIL and BIL live in Covington now. So was checking in…luckily they have no trees around, and looks like they won’t have to,worry about water either.

Any of y’all there for Elena? I remember hanging out at the Lakefront, came home 10 pm ish, my parents were freaking the frick out saying we’re leaving, Shoving shite in the attic etc…Nash Roberts had convinced them, Lake Ponchartrain was going to be in our living room by daylight.
We got as far as Percy Quinn state park, where Elena came directly over. Saw enough to make me never want to sit through one again. Mandeville was fine.

These are my parts, baw

Now you will kindly place your weapon on the deck and take three steps backwards before you get slapped with some civil asset forfeiture, the likes of which you’ve never heard.

Seriously though, still have juice in CCC. Marge Orr said this drags out all night, til 1 or 2 am

Good luck man

We're near the front of the subdivision on Tupelo so flooding isn't an issue for us.

We have tons of pines around us, we will see how that plays out. My neighbors had one fall on their house.

when I moved to Hammond there were three massive water oaks ringing the house. I cut one down, and the second one fell away from me in a tropical storm 2 yrs ago. There is one left and if it falls the wrong way it will leave me with splinters and a slab
