I've been in the office the entire time, but I'm actually transitioning now to more WFH and I'm so fricken excited.

My butt hasn't been in a seat for many years (even pre-COVID), don't plan on returning either.

We never worked from home.

Teleworker since 2012. Stand most of the day.

I am fortunate that I have the freedom to determine where I want to work for the day. However we have quite a few "butts in seats" managers around the company. I've never understood why some of them absolutely insist either on physical presence or outright surveillance to accurately monitor their subordinates' work ethic.

I have been in the office every single day outside of the two weeks I had off for losing my sense of taste for 72 hours.

I haven't missed a day throughout this BS, but I don't sit in an office.

Yeah, "more productive at home" didn't pan out like they thought. Turns out a lot of our younger work force aren't disciplined enough to stay off the playstation and get work done, or no go lay out instead of get on a conference call, or keep their kids from screaming and dogs from barking when important things were being discussed.

Seems like a lot of companies are making people go back and sit in their offices.
How? If my company did this we would roll out and they would be screwed trying to find replacements

Employees definitely have the upper hand in this tight labor market.

Still one day a week (actually only 1/2 day) for a team meeting.
It's a nice break from the home office, downside is at the office I have to fetch my own coffee and lunch.

We’re back to butts in seats. Got questioned on leaving a couple hours early the other day, and I’m a VP.

everyday, even in the peak of the China Flu

That's ridiculous.
Hell I'm sitting here in my office at home in a tshirt and shorts, and haven't even bothered to take a shower yet. Waiting until I'm done messing around in the garden.

I'm work at home for the next few months until renovations are done at our building. I'm hoping we go to a hybrid model then, but we'll see.

Unless I’m traveling for business, which is usually about 1/4 of the time, I’m in the office.
Office is for work. Home is for relaxing. That’s how I like it.

I’m in the office 3 out of 5 days a week.
