How many of you are required to wear a suit or jacket to work every day?

I feel like most places are becoming more lenient with their dress policies. With that said, who still has to wear a suit or a jacket at least? What is it like being uncomfortable all day? I’ll hang up and listen. Thanks.

Sometimes, but mostly it's just my astronaut suit.

The place I work went to business casual only a few months ago (before I started). It was previously shirt, tie, and coat. There is one dude who apparently just refuses to go out and buy nice button down shirts. He still wears the same plain blue and white Oxford shirts everyday.. just with no coat and tie

The place I came from in BR was jeans and a collared shirt and even that had some wiggle room. I just couldn't bring myself to wear a t-shirt to an office job

I wear a suit most days. You get used to it like anything and it becomes normal attire.

If I go into the hospital I have to wear a jacket

When I was in public accointing, the only clients that still required suits were banks still run by older people and hospital management

not Really related but I’m pissed I wear full business casual every day (dress shirt and pants) but I got yelled at for wearing tennis shoes on occasion and the managers wear polos or even some people wear collarless.

At this point I’d rather wear full suit every day

A suit should be the most tailored (to you) garment you own, made out of the highest quality fabrics you can afford. People who complain about suits being uncomfortable are idiots who buy and wear ill-fitting suits.

I’ll acknowledge that wearing a tie isn’t ideal, but if society moved back towards more formality in dress as standard, I would be perfectly comfortable wearing a suit without a tie every day for the rest of my life.

I wore slacks / tie for 20 years and drove 45 minutes each way.

Now I wear a wife beater, gym shorts and my hat backwards while working from home.

Unless you’re a funeral home director or the POTUS, you should be wearing a suit to work.

I’m supposed to but I don’t. 3 days in the field I wear suit pants and button down no tie or a polo. 2 days in the office I wear suit or dress shirt and tie. Anybody from corporate comes around and it’s full suit also anytime I travel for work it’s full suit.
