So glad my family prefers the mountains!!!! The more secluded the better for us! All three of my kids wanted mountain graduation trips

I have a house in the Rockies, so I get you. I like the beach, but it has to be secluded. Goldeneye in Jamaica is a good one.

Not that long ago, Flora Bama was kind of by itself. Now there are condos right next door.

I used to go there a lot in the past. Started in mid-70’s and had an uncle who was a wheeler dealer bullshitter and made and lost fortunes a number of times in life. Made money in shrimping then and sold out to others, Am I crazy thinking back then there was the Flora Bama and maybe a couple of little hotels and not much else?

Hell yeah, that's awesome. I am going to get my hands on these oysters. I'm in Pensacola.

Reading this thread, it is eye opening to see how many people dislike orange beach. I have always enjoyed it. Its convenient from Louisiana, and has everything you need. I think it is better than driving the extra 2-3 hours to get to 30a/ other spots in that area.

Maybe im just trashy

Na dude, you are spot on. Orange Beach is still a nice, fun place for families. It has gotten a lot more crowded, but I drove through there to Ft Morgan from Pensacola on Saturday early noon, and back last night, and it was an easy drive with minimal traffic. It does need to cap its growth though because there simply isn't enough room to get much larger without turning into a real shitshow.

I spend a week every September at a friend's condo in Destin, the trashiest people I see down there every year, by far, are all wearing LSU gear

Very true - 95% of them have never set foot inside an LSU classroom. Very trashy
