I'm lucky to get five hours a night.

And I'll be honest, I could deal with twice that much and be happy.

5 hours on a good night. I have insomnia so it takes a while for me to fall asleep, when I do, I'll get 2 to three hours, wake-up, toss and turn for a while, then get another 2 to three hours. It sucks.

~6 hours.

Get one or two 7 hour nights a week.

I want more. But I also like watching movies, tv shows, and sports.

I don't like to sleep. I get up at 7:20 every day, I usually go to sleep at two.
My wife makes this huge deal about how she has to get up early and go to sleep early. She gets up at 6:45 and is bed at 10:30. I just can't go to bed that early.

Five hours is what I shoot for, More than six and less than four and I'm useless.

That's my issue. I can't just lay down and go to sleep. I have to be tired before I can sleep.

Aim for 7 during the work week.

During the weekend, i stay up late and sleep in longer than an adult should

The difference between 7 vs <5 is extremely noticeable to me. Desk jobs SUCK when sleep deprived

Usually around 7 but I really need about 9 to function optimally. It's a curse how much sleep I need. Most can do with less but my body doesn't work like that.

Any less than 7 hours and I can get really cranky.

If I had the choice I'd sleep 12 hours every night.

Used to get 8 or so, but as I've aged it's reduced to 5 or 6.

Depends on if I drank or not, being an alcoholic. If I drank enough, up to 8-9. If not, 4-5. Like tonight, I went to sleep around 8 and now I'm up at 12:45 and probably not going back to sleep. Fun.....
