In a global population of almost 8 BILLION, yes, it is no big deal.

Here, I'll even do the math for you:

30k is .000375% of the earth's population. That's not even a rounding error. That's a rounding error's rounding error.

This is such terrible logic. Was 9/11 also not a big deal. I mean after all, it was only about 3,000 people that died when the country has over 300 million people in it after all.

I happen to value human life. I understand if you do not.

I'm glad you can stay home and flatten the curve.
Just continue sitting around playing Monopoly with your wife and her boyfriend.

Yes, it was not a big deal. It in no way, shape, or form justified the abomination that was the "Patriot" act.

You value your feelings. You don't value human life.

Comparing an intentional act of terror to a virus that occurs naturally in the world, you’re a fricking scholar.

Sooooooo my rights can only be exercised when things are optimal? When things get a little rough, in order to feel safe, I have to give up the ability to exercise my God given rights?

Depends how many people are out of a job, starving, cant feed kids, can’t buy medicine, and are begging. If 50% of people are out of a job and become wards of the state, I’m not sure how high a death toll can go before I say it is the virus is worse than the cure

How do we know how many people worldwide have or had the virus? If we don’t know how many people have or had the virus, how could we know what the fatality percentage is?

I don’t want anyone to die. But I also don’t want 90% of the country in bread lines.

There’s a balance somewhere that *hopefully* in the next few weeks we can understand who is at risk and have them self-quarantine.

Sweden is doing this from the onset. They’ll be a good comparison.

And how many recovered? 30k isn’t a “shitload” when we are talking about billions of people

30k is still alot of people. No it is not a large percentage of the entire worlds population. Nobody argued it was. And thankfully alot more people are recovering from this than are dying. I'm hoping to see less deaths and more recovered.

Well, it sure as hell didn't justify the reaction that it got. How many American and Afghani/Iraqi/Syrian/etc. dead because of the military reaction? How much shitty policy came out of it? How many trillions wasted? Might've picked a bad example on that one.

You don’t value human life because you don’t seem to realize the lives being ruined because of the overreaction. People die, the world needs to go on.

I don’t understand why those who are at high risk can’t self quarantine and the rest of us go about our lives.

I don’t feel like this would be a problem.

Why does life have to stop? You’re not eradicating this virus. I don’t really see the point.
